New family-visits restrictions due to Covid-19
PRAGUE, 22 November (VS CR) - in compliance with the Government Emergency Measure (MZDR 14598/2021-3/MIN/KAN), the Czech Prison Service limits family visits to prisoners. The measure is effective from Monday, 22 November. The visitors can enter prisons if they use mouth and nose protection, have no clinical symptoms of Covid-19 and comply with the following conditions:
(a) vaccination against covid-19 with evidence (national certificate of vaccination or a certificate of vaccination issued under the EU COVID digital certificate regulation), provided that at least 14 days have elapsed since the completion of the vaccination schedule;
- with a medicinal product containing covid-19 vaccine authorised under Regulation (EC) No 726/2004; or
- a medicinal product the manufacture of which is in accordance with a patent for a medicinal product as referred to in the previous point, provided that the medicinal product is also approved by the World Health Organisation for emergency use; or
(b) the person has laboratory-confirmed covid-19 disease, the period of ordered isolation has elapsed and no more than 180 days have elapsed since the first positive rapid antigen test (RAT) for SARS-CoV-2 antigen or RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 virus; or
(c) the person has undergone RT-PCR testing for the presence of SARS CoV-2 virus with a negative result no more than 72 hours ago.
The obligation to provide evidence of compliance with the above conditions shall not apply to children under 12 years of age or official (administrative) visits.
The visitor, upon entering the prison, must also sign an Affidavit in relation to the preventive measures taken in relation to the spread of COVID-19, in which they sign that no quarantine or isolation measures are imposed on them and that they are not aware of any current COVID-19 disease.
