Minnesota corrections in Světlá nad Sázavou Prison
SVĚTLÁ NAD SÁZAVOU (September 1) - Ms. Safia Khan was hosted by the prison director in Světlá and Sázavou Prison and paid a visit to the Prison Service Memorial in Prague.
Ms. Safia Khan serves as Deputy Commissioner and Chief of Staff for the Minnesota Department of Corrections. Over the course of one working day, Ms. Khan and her counterparts - mainly Ms. Monika Myšičková, prison director in Světlá nad Sázavou women prison - discussed the differences and common challenges of both prison systems, such as digitization, staffing problems, rising financial costs, and juvenile inmates.
